I have written two local history books published by Quatrefoil. The first is a set of biographies of the Victorian and Edwardian Rectors of Rickinghall. My second book is a comprehensive history of schooling in the villages of Botesdale, Redgrave and Rickinghall.

The A to Z of Curious Suffolk was published by The History Press in August 2016. It is available from all good, local bookshops as well as the main online retailers.

Learn: what Defoe and Pepys said about Suffolk cheese; why the Suffolk tradition of dwile flonking is probably not so old; and read about the two famous Suffolk misers who inspired Charles Dickens.

Since 2013 I have been writing a regular column in the award-winning magazine Village People, which is distributed to over 50,000 households in Norfolk and Suffolk.

In 2016 I was commissioned to compile a brief history of Southwold for the Touching The Tide project. It tells the story of how this popular seaside resort has risen to the various natural and man-made challenges it has faced over the centuries.

I offer a full research, copy writing and typesetting service for local and family history projects. If required I can also manage the publication process with a local printer.

In conjunction with photographer, Tony Scheuregger (www.tscheuregger.com), I can also incorporate high quality, colour or black & white photographs into the finished text.

Please contact me to discuss how I can help you turn your information or research into a printed publication.

I have recently started writing for the EADT Suffolk Magazine. My current series is called “Ordinary People, Extraordinary Lives”. I explore the lives of a wide range of Suffolk people who came from humble origins to achieve something great. The first article appears in the January 2017 issue.
